Instructional Technology
Instructional Technology and Classroom Tech Coaches provide support for curriculum technology integration, professional development, online testing, and effective use of district-wide technology. Building on the SAMR Model, a model designed to help educators infuse technology into teaching and learning, the CTC's desire to enable teachers to design, develop, and infuse digital learning experiences that utilize technology. Our mission is to help students in our district become college prepared and career ready by providing an engaging learning environment, raising student achievement, and supporting equitable access to learning opportunities for all students.
All classroom teachers in our district are equipped with the red help button on his/her desktop. This button leads to our technology ticket system which leads the teacher to the right direction for the help they need. Within minutes, he/she should get a reply from one of our many helpful computer techs or classroom technology coaches in their area.
Meet Your Classroom Technology Coaches
The Classroom Technology Coach is your school's IT Help Desk for all things classroom technology related. The CTC assists teachers with the integration and use of technology in their classroom. Addressing both the technical and curriculum integration of these tools is necessary in the implementation of the district's technology goals as described above. From troubleshooting faulty equipment and handling warranty replacements, to training teachers how to put technology to use in their daily instruction, the CTC can accommodate your needs and your schedule. Before, after, or during school training sessions for the entire staff, select groups, and even individual trainings are available to schools throughout the school year. Administrators can contact their school's CTC to schedule a training session during faculty meetings or for staff development days. Teachers can contact the CTC for tips, personalized training focused on what is in their classroom, or for questions concerning technology in the classroom.
